TL;DR
It’s really hard and annoying to find a ready-to-print good PDF documents for Fischertechnik building blocks. Instructions, folders and catalogs are mostly very old or very low quality. I put a lot effort to collect these books and collect them in one place.
Print & Bind
I definitely prefer paper version of any catalog or instruction, so I decided to organize instructions into my own bound books – with spiral binding. I used the tools below to make it happen.

What I used
- A4 Paper PRO-DESIGN 160g (160GMS)
- Paper binding machine – 10 holes (A4/A5/B5) from Temu
- Binding machine spirals (A4)
- A lot of old instructions, catalogs available for free in the Internet (e.g. https://procontechnology.com.au)
- Adobe Photoshop and other graphics tools to improve the quality of the graphics I found and clean all the artifacts there.
- Lot of sweets 🙂
NOTE: All modifications I’ve made were done by me and for me. I was not publishing these books anywhere as they are the property of the people who created them and published them for free (thanks for their titan work to scan all these real paper documents!). I also never created anything like that for money, just for me and my private use. So please do not ask me to publish such documents created here or share them.

Instruction Books
I put a lot of effort to find and complete some example books. In the Internet you can find a lot of documents, most of them are not ready to be printed because of the quality. I found few books with satisfying quality and make them even better by removing some scratches. Some are also collected from old scanned documents I had access to. I cannot share the PDFs with you, but you can taste the quality a bit looking on the gallery below.
I used EPSON L382 ink printer and premium paper PRO-DESIGN 160g (160GMS) in standard A4 format. Below some final results of binding, it’s not that hard and time consuming as I though. I really recommend to try it at home.
Custom book
My next project of book is fully my own one. I’m collecting a lot of TIPS & TRICKs related to Fischertechnik constructions. I build my book in Adobe Illustrator – vector based tool. Below some example artboards from the tool.
Good luck with own projects!
